What is FileTags?+
FileTags is a local file workspace. It indexes libraries, searches file names quickly, and organizes files with tags, work statuses and batch tools. Your original files stay on your local disk.
Does FileTags upload my files?+
No. Your libraries and indexes stay on your device by default. FileTags does not move or upload original files when building an index. Sharing only creates an access entry after you enable it.
How do I claim the 7-day trial?+
Enter an email or phone number on the pricing page and complete the security check. Each email or phone number and each browser device can claim once.
How do authorization codes work?+
Redeem the authorization code in FileTags authorization settings. The first redemption binds the code to the current device. Later codes used on the same device add to the remaining time.
What if I change computers?+
Device transfer is protected and normally requires administrator approval. Copy the machine code from the app and contact support. After approval, a one-time transfer code will be issued for the new device.
Can I use the app while authorization is paused?+
No. When a device authorization is paused, the app becomes unavailable after the next authorization status check. It can be used again after the authorization is resumed, and the code history is preserved.
How do I get software updates?+
Choose the latest stable release on the downloads page. The website can publish multiple versions with version numbers, platforms and release notes.
How can I contact support?+
Prepare a description, app version and machine code, then contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. The machine code helps support identify your device and is not an authorization code.
